Your Role
Mission

Roles and Responsibilities:
Customer Focus
Selection/computation of the main machine components and materials in cooperation with the project team.
Design Subsystems/Commodities of the generator and light towers.
Work independently and support the project leader for on-time in full project deliverables.
Look for innovative techniques other than standard practices been followed.
Generate innovative ideas through self-study of new technologies in the market.
Be responsible for designing components/assemblies of portable energy products, with all specifications in compliance with functionality, quality, and manufacturability.
Should do a pre-study of the assigned activity and come up with a proposal followed by Pros and cons.
Design multiple concepts, present concepts to the project leader approach for detailed design on approval of the concept.
Delivery of drawings, parts lists and technical instructions that describe the design, based on predefined specifications.
Has quick understanding analytical ability to identify potential problems.
Take initiative and interact with the team.
Participate in technical discussions within the team with a focus on the quality and manufacturability of the products.

Provide inputs to the Team Leader on technical training.
Share learnings from projects with the team.
Allocate work to the team members based on the criticality/ complexity of the task.
Ensure adherence to SOPs.
Follow the Atlas Copco/ customer specified standards to carry out the designing of the machine: modify drawings/design based on feedback received from the Project leader and Product Company.
Ensure adherence to the organization s processes and guidelines.
Product Focus
Find ways to promote the use of reusable components, product platforms, Subassemblies, and Modular Designs.
Prepare ISO Documentation. Seek feedback from customers from time to time and drive improvements in the internal processes
Maintain the Knowledge skill management Portals, Databases, etc. to document the knowledge about Products, Processes, People and tools.
Identify innovative solutions and opportunities to improve, and optimize product performance, cost, life, reliability, and Sustainability.
Drive, and contribute towards efficiency improvement projects, optimizing automating processes to achieve an efficient way of working.
To succeed, you will need
Experience Requirements
- Should have a strong Engineering technical, and analytical background.
- Should have design experience with generators, light towers or similar products.
- Know-how of industrial Diesel Engines and emission legislation.
- Strong Knowledge of sheet metal competence.
- Should understand the engineering activities (NPD and continuous improvement projects) within an organization.
- Should be proficient in Inventor (Sheet mental 3D piping, large assembly handling technique)
- Knowledge of PDM systems- Windchill (CA, ECN creation, Bom structure handling).
- Should have a good knowledge of GDT and manufacturing processes.
- Should have knowledge of heavy fabrication, canopy design, Welding and Flexible hose design, surface finish and treatments.
- B.E Mechanical with 2-5 years of experience.
- Ability to build strong relationships, respect commitments and foster a customer-centric approach.
- Analyse data and seek innovative solutions, which will contribute to achieving better outcomes for the organization.

- To foster open communications and encourage collaboration.
