Job Purpose
This role plays a crucial part in achieving company objectives and targets by leading, motivating,
and managing a team of sales representatives. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, fostering strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, and continuously monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic
Provide guidance, support, and effective leadership, the Area Sales Manager ensures that the sales team achieves or exceeds sales targets, maintains high levels of productivity, and delivers exceptional service to customers. Overall, this position contributes to the success and profitability of our paints business by driving sales excellence, promoting product innovation, and delivering value to our clients and partners
Financial
The primary purpose of the Area Sales Manager for our paints business is to drive sales growth, expand market share, and enhance customer satisfaction within the designated area or region.
Operational
1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and targets for the paints business segment.
2. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 3 to 4 sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders to drive sales growth and expand market share.
4. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business development and improvement.
5. Conduct regular performance evaluations, set sales targets, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product development, and customer service to enhance product offerings, customer experience, and overall business performance.
7. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
