Job Description
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients in the MICU, including physical examinations, monitoring vital signs, and reviewing medical histories to identify patient needs and establish care plans
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans for each patient, considering their specific medical conditions and critical care requirements
- Monitoring and Intervention: Continuously monitor patients' conditions, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen levels
- Promptly identify any deteriorations and implement appropriate interventions
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and closely monitoring patients for any adverse reactions
- Ventilator Management: Operate and manage mechanical ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support, adjusting settings as needed and closely monitoring responses
- Procedures and Interventions: Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting central lines, arterial lines, and managing invasive monitoring equipment, as required for patient care
