- To lead the company's sales efforts by strategizing revenue growth, expanding the customer base, and enhancing the company's presence in domestic and international markets.
- The Sales Manager will collaborate with internal teams to align customer needs with the company's offerings and drive profitable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
- Identify and capitalize on new customer and market opportunities.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor strategies.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, channel partners, and distributors.
- Identify and pursue new customer acquisition opportunities while retaining existing clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing concerns.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and support for continuous improvement.
Sales Operations:
- Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, production, logistics, and regulatory) to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and results.
- Work with the finance team to manage pricing strategies and contracts.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present sales performance reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Provide feedback to internal teams to support product development and marketing efforts.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Identify and develop strategic relationships with key partners and clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability.
Key Stakeholders:
- Internal Partners: R&D, Procurement, Production, Quality Control, Regulatory, Logistics, Finance.
- External Partners: Key Customers, Distributors, Regulatory Authorities.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- 12-15 years of experience in sales within the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on domestic and international markets.
- Strong knowledge of pharma sales, including APIs, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with at least 3 years of experience managing a sales team.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Pharmacy or Science) and an advanced Management degree
