We are looking at Business Development Manager at Dehradun for a fire, safety and disaster management manufacturing company.
The opportunity fits in with Direct Business with Government and minimum years required would be 10+ years of experience.
Person to be based in Dehradun and should know the complete geography of Dehradun, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government sector (e.g., municipal corporations, state government departments, educational institutions, healthcare facilities). Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and gain a competitive advantage. Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, procurement departments, and influencers.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and generate leads.
Sales & Account Management: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to government clients. Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively. Manage existing government accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships. Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
- Market Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the local market dynamics, government regulations, and procurement processes. Leverage this knowledge to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities. Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in fire, safety, and disaster management.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, operations, engineering) to ensure successful project execution. Provide valuable market insights to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Qualifications & Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in business development within the Fire, Safety & Disaster Management industry. Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
- Proven track record of success in developing and closing deals with government entities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a strong team player.
- In-depth knowledge of Dehradun and Uttarakhand geography is essential. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
