We are seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA and Analyst with a strong background in finance and manufacturing domains. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database administration, performance tuning, and report generation using SQL Server and BI tools like Power BI and Tableau. This role requires expertise in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and the ability to convert SQL reports into BI reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
SQL DBA:
o 8 to 10 years of experience in SQL Server database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
o Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, security, and performance tuning. o Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.
Reporting Services:
o Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for report development and management. o Ability to fine-tune and generate reports to meet specific business requirements.
BI Tools: o Experience in converting SQL reports to BI reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
o Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
Domain Knowledge: o Experience in the finance and manufacturing domains is highly desirable.
Soft Skills:
o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. DUTIES
Database Administration:
o Manage, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
o Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and monitoring.
o Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
Performance Tuning:
o Optimize SQL Server databases and queries to improve performance and efficiency.
o Analyze and fine-tune database and query performance, including indexing, partitioning, and caching strategies.
Reporting and BI:
o Develop, maintain, and enhance SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports to meet business needs.
o Convert existing SQL reports into BI reports using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights through BI reports.
Domain Expertise:
o Leverage finance and manufacturing domain knowledge to design and implement database solutions tailored to industry-specific needs.
o Provide technical guidance and support to development teams working on finance and manufacturing applications.
Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, manufacturing, and IT, to ensure database and reporting solutions align with business objectives.
o Provide training and support to end-users on the use of BI tools and reports.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor s / Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Certifications in SQL Server, Power BI, or Tableau.
Experience with cloud-based databases and BI tools.
