The Aircraft Cabin manager is responsible for ensuring the functionality of aircraft cabins, safety, cleanliness. This role involves performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft interiors, including seating, lighting, entertainment systems, and other cabin amenities. Need to work closely with other maintenance staff to ensure that all cabin systems meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
Functional Activities
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of aircraft cabins, including seats, carpets, curtains, galleys, lavatories, and overhead bins.
Diagnose and repair issues with cabin systems such as Seating, Galley, Lavatories, Lighting, in-flight entertainment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and aviation industry standards.
Replace or repair damaged cabin components and fixtures.
Conduct/Supervise thorough cleaning and sanitization of aircraft interiors.
Work collaboratively with other maintenance personnel to resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance tasks.
Document all maintenance actions in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
Provide support during aircraft turnarounds and assist with loading and unloading of cabin supplies as needed.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in cabin maintenance technology and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance .
Attend all aircraft checks, arrivals, and departures promptly to maximize ground time and prevent operational delays ..
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
Skills/Qualities Required
Experience with specific aircraft models Airbus A320/A350 /Boeing 777/Boeing 787 and their cabin systems
Necessary Qualification as per DGCA Analytical abilities
problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of Aircraft documents Defect Monitoring and Compliance Cabin Audits and rectification Planning and Other Engineering Departments.
Work closely with Planning and other Engineering departments to ensure that maintenance and engineering activities are carried out safely and efficiently
Vendors / Suppliers
Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies to ensure that the aircraft cabin is kept as per best industry standards
Work closely with external service providers such as maintenance and repair organizations (MROs)/Ground handling agencies (GSA s) to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently
Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements
An aircraft maintenance engineer qualification along with appropriate DGCA license and a relevant engineering degree (BE/BTech/AME or equivalent)
14 years relevant work experience in an aviation industry of which minimum 3 years of certification and with 2 years of experience in Managerial role.
Strong understanding of aviation regulations, standards, and procedures, with experience in managing Cabin Maintenance.
