Aptly Technology - Azure CosmosDB Engineer (3-6 yrs)

Job Description :

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer with a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical systems that leverage the power of Cosmos DB to deliver high-performance, scalable, and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement high-performance, scalable, and reliable applications using Azure Cosmos DB.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, leveraging the full capabilities of Cosmos DB, including data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.

- Develop and implement data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming data into Cosmos DB.

- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security within the Cosmos DB environment.

- Design and implement robust and scalable architectures for applications utilizing Cosmos DB.

- Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks, proposing and implementing optimizations.

- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for applications and data residing in Cosmos DB.

- Participate in architectural design reviews and provide technical guidance to other engineers.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Cosmos DB applications and infrastructure.

- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.

- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including backups, upgrades, and security audits.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps engineers.

- Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices for using Cosmos DB.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering principles.

- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB, including data modeling, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python).

- Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and Azure services.

- Experience with data pipelines and data integration technologies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work 1 independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Desired Skills & Experience :

- Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or other Azure serverless technologies.

- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code).

- Certifications in Azure or Cosmos DB.
