Manual Software Tester

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with project managers and developers to understand project requirements and acceptance criteria.
Develop test cases, test scenarios, and checklists based on functional and technical specifications.
Execute manual test plans across different platforms/environments to identify defects and ensure software quality.
Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and usability testing.
Log, track, and manage defects using a bug tracking tool (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Work with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects in a timely manner.
Maintain clear and concise documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
Generate test execution reports to keep stakeholders informed about product quality and status.
Participate in team meetings, review sessions, and retrospectives.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve QA processes, test strategies, and overall product quality.

Skills:

Familiarity with various testing types (functional, regression, integration, smoke, usability).
Understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Team player who collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams.
