Job Title: Supervisor Investment Operations.
Experience: 10 to 12 years.
Location: Hyderabad (On-site).
Shift: Mandatory night shift from 08:30 PM IST to 05:30 AM IST (Transportation provided).
Role Overview:
- The Supervisor Investment Operations plays a crucial role in the securities operations team, which is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and management of securities and related analytics data.
- This includes overseeing security master data, analytics, valuations, corporate actions, and proxy voting.
- The selected candidate will collaborate with various internal teams, including Trading, Compliance, Client Services, and Technology, as well as external vendors and data providers.
- Participation in relevant meetings is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship and training to new team members, ensuring they are well-integrated into the operations.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve process and market data discrepancies independently.
- Maintain and update security reference data across multiple platforms, including the firm's accounting and Order Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with the firm's valuation policies and procedures.
- Handle daily securities pricing, address pricing challenges, manage corporate actions data feeds, and ensure the integrity of the security master file and analytics, investigating any discrepancies and escalating issues as needed.
- Collaborate with Pricing Vendors, Operations, Performance, Investment Teams, Traders, and Custodians to develop solutions for complex challenges.
- Oversee the Proxy Voting process, coordinating with front office personnel and legal teams as necessary.
- Communicate voluntary corporate actions to front office teams and custodians, processing them within the accounting platform.
- Monitor benchmark providers, addressing exceptions and sourcing new data as required.
- Maintain all documentation related to valuations and provide timely information for internal and external audits.
- Update and manage securities analytics values within the accounting platform according to the approved analytics hierarchy.
- Continuously enhance data quality frameworks and best practices.
- Assist in user acceptance testing, documentation, implementation, and data quality processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient analytical and mathematical skills, with a quick learning ability.
- Capable of problem-solving within complex processes and effectively communicating solutions to a wider audience.
- Experience with various security types, including pricing, analytics, and corporate actions.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail to identify discrepancies.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in equity, fixed income, or derivatives markets and financial data.
- Leadership experience in an office environment is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of investment products, services, and information systems.
- Background in Back or Middle Office Operations with a focus on securities markets.
- Familiarity with various securities processing platforms.
- Understanding of fixed income instruments and their valuation inputs.
