Job Description
Job Profile: Senior System Administrator
Experience: 7 to 10 years
Job Location: Chennai
Budget: 9L 10LPA
Candidate must be able to join within 15 days
Responsibilities:
- VMware ESXi Administration:
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with VMware ESXi environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure.
- Perform regular health checks and monitoring of virtualized environments.
- Manage and maintain virtual machines (VMs), including provisioning, deployment, and configuration.
- Ensure patch management and version upgrades for ESXi hosts.
- Windows Server Management:
- Administer Windows Servers (e.g., AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and more) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Perform regular updates and patch management for Windows servers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows server-related issues.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and backup management of Windows environments.
- Linux System Administration:
- Provide support and maintain Linux-based systems as required.
- Troubleshoot and manage services on Linux environments.
- Perform system updates, security patches, and configurations in Linux systems.
- Issue Resolution RCA:
- Handle critical system issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and provide preventive measures.
- Patch Management:
- Conduct regular patch updates for virtual machine hosts and Windows servers.
- Ensure compliance with security and system update standards.
- Asset and Inventory Management:
- Manage IT hardware and software assets, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Oversee lifecycle management of assets including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in VMware ESXi administration and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, etc.).
- Good knowledge and experience in managing Linux systems.
- Proven ability to handle critical issues and conduct thorough RCAs.
- Experience with patch management and system update practices.
- Strong organizational skills to manage IT assets and inventories efficiently.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive mindset in system monitoring and issue prevention
