Job Description
Amity Global School, Gurgaon is looking for Visual Art Facilitator to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey
- Curriculum Development:Design and develop art curriculum and lesson plans that align with educational standards, learning objectives, and the developmental needs of students
- Select appropriate art materials, resources, and instructional strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding of artistic concepts and techniques
- Instruction and Demonstration:Teach a variety of visual art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media, through hands-on demonstrations and guided instruction
- Provide individualized feedback, critique, and encouragement to students to help them improve their skills, develop their artistic voice, and achieve their creative goals
- Classroom Management:Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, respected, and empowered to express themselves artistically
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote student engagement, collaboration, and productive use of class time
- Assessment and Evaluation:Assess student progress and learning outcomes through ongoing observation, evaluation of student artwork, and formative assessments
- Provide constructive feedback and grades based on student performance, effort, and artistic growth, and communicate progress to students and parents/guardians
- Cultural and Artistic Appreciation:Introduce students to the history of art, diverse artistic traditions, and influential artists from various cultural backgrounds to foster appreciation for cultural diversity and artistic heritage
- Organize art exhibitions, gallery visits, and cultural field trips to expose students to a range of artistic experiences and inspire their creativity
- Professional Development:Stay current with developments in art education, pedagogy, and instructional technology through professional development opportunities, workshops, and conferences
- Collaborate with colleagues, participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to the overall academic and artistic goals of the school community
