Key skills for the job
Support and cater to to the projects associated with DevSecOps tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jfrog Artifactory, Sonarqube etc. and quickly respond to incidents for one or more technologies within the technical area of expertise. Frequently collaborate with cross commit teams to gather requirements and develop and implement detailed design, configuration and engineering strategies/solutions to resolve issues/incidents while remaining focused on project delivery. You will help drive the optimization of technology operations though automation and solution delivery, system/services performance monitoring and solving problems.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and adopt best practices on DevSecOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Continuous Testing (Both for server side and client side).
Design NextGen application strategy using Cloud-native architectures.
Build scalable, efficient cloud, and on-premise infrastructure.
Implement monitoring for automated system health checks.
Build CI/CD pipelines, train and guide teams on DevSecOps best practices.
Work with engineers to drive issues to resolution during application instability.
Maintain and implement change management control procedures and processes for UAT/QA and production releases.
Implement test automation(ui/api) integration with CI/CD for extensive test coverage and enable metrics collection.
Work with multiple/distributed teams following Agile practices.
Provide technical consultancy for new projects requiring implementation setup with consideration of existing automation jobs.
Provide leadership to a group of DevsEcops tools and ensure the platform s high availability and efficiency
Train, guide and support DevOps customers to meet their development and operations needs
Take ownership of Incidents and Requests assigned to the team, ensuring they are SLA compliant.
Identify and implement key service improvements to ensure an effective and efficient Incident and Request management process.
Communicate effectively to both internal and external users.
Escalate and manage incidents when you experience an extended service outage, or service levels are not being met.
Ensure incidents and requests:
Accurately record resolution of Incidents and Service Requests to quality standards for future investigation.
Accurately record and prioritize and manage Incidents and Service Requests against suitable SLAs and resolution targets.
Restore normal service operation as quickly as possible, investigating, diagnozing and resolving incidents where possible.
Continuously monitor Automation queues for new requests.
Identify candidates for Problem Management and feed into the Problem Management process.
Required Qualifications
10-14 years overall industry experience building infrastructure and release management activities.
4+ years of experience in DevOps (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Continuous Testing).
SCM tools like BitBucket/Git and any productivity plugins.
Code Quality and security tools like SonarQube/Blackduck /Veracode.
Performance tools like MicroFocus Loadrunner, Jmeter etc.
Test and build systems such as Jenkins, Maven, JFrog/Nexus Artifactory.
Strong code/scripting skills for IaaS automation.
Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Terraform.
Containerization tools such as Kubernetes, Docker.
Container orchestration tools like Marathon, Kubernetes, EKS or ECS etc.
Monitoring/Alerting tools such as Sumologic, Cloud Watch, Prometheus.
Understanding of network topologies and hardware.
Knowledge of load balancers (F5, ngnix) and firewalls.
Expertise with Jenkins setup and pipeline development.
Expertise with Jfrog Artifactory for end-to-end setup of repos, artifacts, projects, permission, federation etc.
Expertise with Atlassian tools Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket with respect to deployment, configuration, infra-optimisation etc.
Preferred Qualifications
CNCF experience with GitOps principles.
