The legal department plays a vital role in managing legal matters and ensuring that the operations of the co-working space are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. As a member of our Legal Department, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal support, guidance, and expertise to our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass various legal matters, including contract management, compliance, risk assessment, and dispute resolution. By ensuring legal compliance and protecting our organizations interests, you will contribute to our continued success and growth.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing various agreements in consultation with seniors.
Making standard agreements and SOPs for the reference of stakeholders.
Advising local unit on various statutes applicable to products and processes
Representing the Company in person before various Statutory authorities
Verification of property documents given for go down by any party
Filing and defending various suits for and against the company
Collaborate with internal teams to address legal issues and prevent future legal challenges.
Manage intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright registration and protection
Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws, including GDPR and other relevant regulations
Develop and maintain privacy policies and practices for the co-working space
Dispute resolution during the term of the lease, involving negotiation, mediation, or, in more serious cases, litigation
Advising on issues such as rent adjustments, property alterations, and compliance with maintenance and repair obligations
Interpret and explain complex legal documents, regulations, and policies to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders
Managing the recovery of outstanding payments and issuing notifications to individuals who have defaulted on their payments
Requirements
Strong background in business and real estate law
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Bachelors degree in law and shall have obtained a COP
strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, attorneys, judges and other professionals
up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and legal practices
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficient in research writing, communication, attention to detail and critical thinking
Experience in contract negotiation skills
Previous experience as paralegals, legal assistants, or similar support roles
