RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AREAS:
Supporting programme planning, execution, outreach, and
communications
• Tracking and supporting project reporting milestones and
requirements
• Conducting research tasks in contribution to programme or
project activities
• Staying abreast of the developments in India and globally in the
field of cold chains, including but not limited to Doubling Farmers’
Income (DFI), Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture

(MIDH), markets reforms in agricultural produce trade and
commerce, logistics policies, Global Food Cold Chain Council
(GFCCC)
• Track key data published by various departments involved in
cold chain development activity
• Monitoring of the deployed solution and analysis to assess
energy consumption, GHG emission and development of key
performance indicators.
• Generate content and outreach activities for blogs, brochures,
online posts, and articles
• Support/Lead-in writing and preparing discussion papers, project
reports, issue briefs, journal-papers
• To develop surveys and questionnaires and to collect, collate
and analyze the data using different data analysis software/tools
Supporting and coordinating team collaboration and
administration
• Providing ad-hoc support on project deliverables
• Developing team updates for dissemination to the broader
stakeholder network
• Supporting the development of programme and project
dissemination materials in collaboration with our programmatic
and communications team members
• Willing to travel within India to carry out various project activities
• Supporting planning and execution of events and workshops
Supporting proposal writing and business development
• Support/Lead through data-driven assessment for proposals and
project implementation
• Support/Lead-in identification of potential strategy areas,
developing proposals and undertaking meaningful research to
support policymaking
• Identify and develop good connections with the relevant
stakeholders, including key government and private
stakeholders in the horticulture and agriculture sector.
• Explore opportunities for future collaborations for project
implementation and strengthening the team’s ongoing work.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
GENERAL
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a
pre-requisite
• Strong ability to articulate, comprehend and synthesize
technical information for people working in the policy arena.
• Excellent visualization and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing,
and slide presentation software
• High level of excitement, ability to work independently, taking
the initiative, and flexibility in quickly adjusting to changing
work program requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & RELEVANT
EXPERIENCE
• Master’s degree (Preferred) in Mechanical/Electrical
engineering, energy management, or equivalent areas
relevant for cold chain development in agriculture (and allied
sectors), from reputed institutions in India or overseas.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in HVAC&R/cold-chain, S&L
development and/or implementation, preferably with some
experience in energy-efficient and environment-friendly
HVAC&R/cold-chain technologies
• Experience in national/international institutions and/or
companies, government agencies, with a demonstrated track
record of successful engagement in complex projects
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of energy efficiency,
monitoring and evaluation, and tool development.
• Understanding of the present market and overall supply chain
for agriculture (and allied sectors).
• Experience in policy development support and implementation
in the field of energy efficiency in agricultural cold-chains is
preferred
• Experience leading and/or playing key roles in technical and
policy dialogue with clients and stakeholders for government,
industry and civil society in the agriculture sector
• Excellent track record in carrying out high-quality and timely
analytical reports and activities would be advantageous
