Position Overview:
The Delivery Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest quality. You will own the project delivery plan, guide cross-functional teams, and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their expectations are not only met but exceeded. As a leader, you will be instrumental in driving project outcomes, fostering collaboration, and ensuring continuous improvement in project management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Ownership & Delivery:
- Own the entire lifecycle of the project from initiation to closure. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations. Ensure that project goals, objectives, and deliverables are achieved on time and to specification.
Client Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Understand client needs, manage expectations, and ensure that projects are aligned with their business objectives and priorities.
Cross-functional Team Leadership:
- Lead and collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product delivery, and account managers, to ensure seamless project execution. Mentor team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and development.
Quality & Process Excellence:
- Use established project management frameworks and templates to guide project execution, while continuously identifying opportunities for process improvements. Deliver projects with a focus on value, customer delight, and high-quality outcomes.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and escalations throughout the project lifecycle. Take ownership of resolving project complexities to ensure smooth delivery and client satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal project management processes and templates, ensuring they are adapted and optimized to meet evolving client needs and organizational goals.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
- At least 6+ years of experience in delivering complex projects in a consulting environment, managing cross-functional teams and driving successful outcomes.
Leadership & Mentorship:
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor individuals, and manage people effectively throughout the project lifecycle. Strong collaboration and team management skills are essential.
Communication & Presentation Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable presenting to C-level executives and managing senior client relationships.
Organizational Skills:
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Detail-oriented and quality-driven.
Problem Solving & Ownership:
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues, think critically, and take ownership of solving complex challenges. Ability to drive projects forward in an autonomous manner while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
Adaptability:
- Ability to thrive in a startup-like environment, where agility, flexibility, and ownership are key to success. Must be comfortable with evolving project constructs and adapting to changing client needs.
