Job Description :

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our strategic team, focusing on advancing our data intelligence platform.

Alation specializes in collecting, processing, and synthesizing metadata from large enterprise data environments.

We enable data analysts and scientists to discover and utilize data effectively while empowering governance teams to oversee it.

With the rapid advancements in AI, we aim to enhance how our platform exposes metadata to external applications, user tools, and future AI agents.

Responsibilities :

- Drive the mission to distribute metadata, transforming Alation into a robust platform for developing next generation applications.

- Manage existing integrations, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Chrome Extension, API platform, and Alation Analytics (a tool for analyzing data usage within enterprise environments).

- Lead the development of future integrations, such as ChatGPT, webhooks, or innovative solutions to enhance the usability of existing tools.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of product initiatives.

- Engage in customer discovery, validate ideas, and iterate rapidly based on feedback.

- Incorporate AI strategically where it provides value, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

Requirements :

- Graduation or Post Graduation from IIT, IIM, XLRI, or other top-tier institutions.

- At least 8 years of experience in product management or a similar role.

- Proven experience in product management with a track record of delivering impactful products.

- Ability to navigate ambiguity, establish clear goals, and execute effectively.

- Strong customer discovery and problem-solving skills.

- Pragmatic approach with a focus on achieving results and finding the truth in decision-making.

- Familiarity with enterprise data environments, integrations, or metadata management is a plus
