Role & responsibilities
Hands on experience in womens ethnic wear is mandatory.
1. Develop and implement the overall visual merchandising strategy for our apparel retail stores, in alignment with the company's brand guidelines and objectives.
2. Create and execute innovative and eye-catching visual displays and window presentations to attract customers and drive sales.
3. Collaborate closely with the marketing and design teams to ensure brand consistency and
effective communication of promotions, campaigns, and seasonal themes through visual merchandising.
4. Lead a team of visual merchandisers, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure their professional growth and the successful execution of visual merchandising activities.
5. Conduct regular store visits to assess visual merchandising standards, provide feedback, and
make necessary adjustments to enhance the overall store aesthetics and product presentation.
6. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging visual merchandising techniques, and competitor activities, and incorporate relevant insights into the development of visual merchandising strategies.
7. Collaborate with store managers and buyers to optimize product placement, highlighting key
collections, and coordinating the flow of merchandise throughout the store.
8. Manage and allocate visual merchandising budgets effectively, ensuring resources are used
efficiently to achieve desired outcomes.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and suppliers to source
materials, props, and display fixtures for visual merchandising purposes.
10. Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and other relevant metrics to measure the impact of
visual merchandising efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.
Preferred candidate profile
1. A Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion, Design, or a related field is required. A
master's degree is a plus. The candidate should also possess a minimum of 10 years of work
experience in the retail industry.
2. Proven experience in visual merchandising, preferably within the apparel retail industry, with a strong track record of creating compelling displays and driving sales.
3. Excellent understanding of retail industry trends, customer behavior, and visual merchandising
best practices.
4. Strong creative and artistic skills, with the ability to conceptualize and bring ideas to life through visual displays.
5. Proficiency in using visual merchandising tools, software, and equipment.
6. Leadership abilities with experience in managing a team and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate visual merchandising concepts and influence stakeholders.
8. Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to optimize
visual merchandising strategies.
9. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
