Manage all aspects of the financial accounting, reporting and control (finance) function, including financial, product and business lines reporting, tax planning, internal and external/regulatory reporting.
Ensure that the highest quality reporting, policies, controls, systems, and processing are in place to protect the integrity of the company s assets and information.
Establish and maintain the accounting procedures, protocols and standards for the accounting, finance and investment disciplines as well as the management and financial reporting regime.
Ensure that all reporting is in accordance with local and Ageas IFRS accounting standards and is compliant with regulatory requirements.
Drive Performance Management based on key value drivers and key performance indicators, multi-year budgets and forecasting.
Analyse and challenge the business performance by highlighting to both local and regional management, areas of concern or opportunities to increase the performance.
Maintain MIS capturing all information relevant for adequate strategic decision making.
Provide input to the overall strategic direction of the Company through his/her participation in the Management Committee to support targets set by the local/group management are being achieved.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards and financial reporting.
Implement and maintain robust financial control systems, including group reporting, audits, and tax compliance.
As a successful candidate you d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
At least 15 years of relevant experience in the Insurance industry
At least 5 years in Executive Leadership positions
Bachelor s degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Finance/ Economics/ Commerce/ Business Administration or related qualification.
Chartered Accountant Qualification.
Extensive stakeholder relationship and management experience.
Extensive experience with budgeting and forecasting models.
You have experience working in a large, multi-cultural and multi-channel organization.
