Manager - Financial Reporting & Control

Manage the standard financial reporting and control activities. The role will manage a team, manage process risk and drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple financial and accounting processes.

Job Description:

ACCOUNTING REPORTING

• Deliver high quality financial reporting (management and statutory) to key stakeholders, Provide analysis and actionable insights to senior management on business performance.
• Manage the month end books of accounts closing process as per the month end calendar for group financial reporting. Manages the delivery of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes on a day-to-day basis
• Ensures that all internal and external financial reporting obligations are delivered to a high standard and on time
• Leads technical accounting excellence, including management of the adoption of new accounting standards
• Work with operational finance to ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed in accordance with group policies
• Ensure prudent and accepted norms are followed for Revenue recognition and maintain detailed reconciliations of all related Revenue accounts
• Ensure all books of Accounts are maintained accurately and timely as per the Accepted Accounting Procedures. Assist in supporting compliance with group/statutory policies on financial reporting and internal controls
• Lead the statutory audits and Internal Audit and ensure they are completed with NIL qualifications within prescribed time limits
• Supports continual improvements in quality and efficiency of financial reporting processes, in collaboration with the wider finance team

TAXATION

• Prepares and reviews of relevant country tax returns ensuring they are submitted in accordance with the law and are filed on time
• Prepares and reviews year - end tax reporting. Ensure that all Direct and Indirect Tax returns (Income Tax / TDS / GST / VAT etc) are filed on a timely basis
• Ensure computation of advance tax and payment of all taxes is done on a timely/accurate way.
• Liaises with local tax authorities as necessary, managing tax audits ensuring they are done in timely and accurate manner
• Monitors changes in tax law and advice on how it affects the company. Interact with Tax advisors and consultants

STRATEGIC PROJECTS

• Lead and support strategic projects within Finance function and group mandates

PEOPLE AND PROCESS

• Review and improve processes and systems to ensure smooth, effective and efficient operations in the accounts department
• Monitor and lead various initiatives like quality improvement/measurement, automation and Dashboards.
• Develop and proactively review and propose changes as needed to the team structures to meet/exceed business objectives
• Recruit/participate in recruitment of team members and professional development of the team members
