SQL Developer with Azure and DBA

SQL Server Administration:

o  Install, configure, and manage SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 databases.

o  Monitor and maintain the health and performance of database servers.

o  Implement and maintain database security (roles, permissions, encryption).

o  Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery exercises.

o  Apply patches and updates to SQL Server environments as needed.

o  Automate routine database tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages.

•   Database Performance Tuning:

o  Analyze and optimize query performance, indexing strategies, and storage.

o  Monitor and resolve database performance issues, such as slow queries and deadlocks.

o  Perform capacity planning and database optimization.

•   SQL Development:

o  Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.

o  Collaborate with development teams to design database schemas and ensure best practices in database design.

o  Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).

o  Work with developers to ensure efficient integration between applications and databases.

•   Collaboration and Support:

o  Provide technical support for database-related issues to internal teams.

o  Collaborate with application developers to resolve database-related issues.

o  Participate in on-call rotations to support the production environment.

•   Documentation and Reporting:

o  Document database environments, configurations, and operational procedures.

o  Generate reports on database health, performance, and capacity utilization.

o  Provide recommendations for database improvements and upgrades.
