Job Overview:
The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of pharmaceutical products, from conception through commercialization, ensuring that they meet market needs and align with the companys strategic goals. This role requires a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to bring high-impact products to market.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategic product plans, including product positioning, messaging, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify opportunities for new product development or portfolio optimization. Collaborate with R&D, regulatory, and medical affairs teams to ensure alignment on product development milestones and timelines.
Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch evaluation.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely product launches and effective market adoption. Monitor product performance, and recommend changes to marketing tactics and strategies based on data insights and performance metrics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and educational materials for healthcare providers. Collaborate with regulatory, legal, and compliance teams to ensure that all product-related materials meet regulatory and ethical standards. Serve as a key liaison between commercial, medical, and operational teams to ensure alignment and execution of product strategies.
Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze feedback from healthcare professionals, patients, and key stakeholders to understand customer needs and refine product offerings. Monitor and report on competitors product activities and market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for the product portfolio.
Financial & Budget Management:
Prepare and manage product budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and tracking financial performance against targets.
Analyze sales data, profitability, and market penetration to drive improvements and optimize product profitability.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
Ensure that all product materials, claims, and promotional activities comply with regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and ensure all team members are informed of relevant requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience in product management or marketing within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical product development process, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
Experience with managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with various departments such as R&D, sales, medical affairs, and regulatory.
Should be post graduate in MBA and B-Pharma.
Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Must have knowledge of MS office.
