Database Administrator - MongoDB/SQL (3-4 yrs)

MongoDB DBA Roles and Responsibilities :

- 5+ years hands-on experience as DBA and 2+ years on MongoDB.

- Understanding of enterprise application technology architecture, components, databases, networking, and infrastructure as code.

- Strong DBA Experience - MongoDB and MSSQL.

- Write efficient queries.

- Strong scripting experience - Unix/Shell Scripting, Python

- Technical knowledge of Linux & Windows-based platforms

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills :

- Hands-on Experience in AWS.

- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity experience.

- Manage MongoDB database security by implementing authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing mechanisms.

- Troubleshoot and resolve MongoDB database issues, including performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and connectivity problems.

- Work with developers and recommend query/performance optimization techniques

Responsibilities :

- Maintain and configure MongoDB instances

- Keep clear documentation of the database setup and architecture

- Write procedures for backup and disaster recovery

- Ensure that the databases achieve maximum performance and availability

- Design indexing strategies

- Configure, monitor, and deploy replica sets

- Upgrade databases through patches

- Create roles and users and set their permissions
