Manager/Senior Manager - Data Science (4-8 yrs)

Job Summary :

We're seeking a Manager/Senior Manager of Data Science to join our agile, cross-functional team as a technical leader.

You will design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions to drive business outcomes, and lead a team of data scientists, contributing to the expansion and development of our data science capabilities.

You will own advanced analytics and DS modelling projects from inception to production, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-impact results.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists.

- Provide technical guidance, support, and coaching to team members.

- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.

- Lead and manage the entire data science project lifecycle, from problem definition and data exploration to model development, deployment, and monitoring.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data science solutions.

- Define project scope, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

- Develop and implement advanced data science models (machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing) to solve complex business problems.

- Hands-on experience with data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.

- Expertise in data cleaning, preparation, and feature engineering.

- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

- Conduct research and experimentation to explore new data science techniques and technologies.

- Identify and evaluate new opportunities for data science to drive business value.

- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.

- Experience in leading and managing data science teams.

- Strong proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

- Strong understanding of statistical and machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, deep learning).

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Strong leadership, mentorship, and team management skills.

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD preferred)
