Reliability, Stability, Availability to meet SLOs.
Continuous Integration and Deployment
Automated build and testing: SRE provide the tools and manage the automation frameworks. Developers own writing the actual tests.
Environment management: SRE writes the terraform, provide the framework for on-demand environment creation / monitoring / destruction.
Release engineering: SRE manage the code deployment framework, automated overnight deployment, automated production release, production feature flag management.
