Job Description
- Strong AWS experience with at least one of RDS databases - preferably MySQL Aurora, and/or Postgres.
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot in dynamic situations supporting mission-critical applications such as DBA
- Experience with AWS CLI and AWS RDS.
- Standard DBA operations such as Monitoring, query optimization, cost optimization, tuning, backup/restore, blue/green deployments and Cross-region replication in AWS and/or other cloud environments.
- DBA expertise from one of the popular RDBMS - preferably MySQL, Postgres
- Rich experience in performing database upgrades with minimum downtime.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to agile practices and working with agile software development teams.
- Availability for pager-duty on call.
- Nice to have.
- Scripting and/or programming experience to automate standard DB tasks/operations.
- Experience with data quality and data observability aspects of data management and working with the data analytics team.
- knowledge of percona toolkit.
- Knowledge of pg/SQL.
