Position Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced Vice President Human Resources (VP HR) to lead our HR strategy and execution.
- This senior leadership position requires someone with a strong background in EdTech, HR leadership, and organizational strategy.
- As VP of HR, you will collaborate with senior management to ensure HR strategies align with the company's goals, driving performance, employee engagement, and organizational success.
Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with the company's vision, goals, and objectives, supporting overall business growth.
- Design and implement HR policies that foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation.
- Lead talent acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring we attract and retain the best talent, particularly in the EdTech sector.
- Spearhead leadership development programs to enhance managerial capabilities across the organization.
- Drive organizational design and workforce planning initiatives, ensuring the right talent is in place to meet business goals.
Employee Experience & Engagement:
- Develop and execute employee engagement programs aimed at enhancing satisfaction, motivation, and retention.
- Create strategies for employee growth, well-being, and work-life balance, fostering a positive organizational culture.
- Regularly analyze employee feedback and organizational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement policies that encourage transparency, open communication, and a feedback-rich environment.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee the execution of day-to-day HR functions, including compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, and training and development.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national labor laws and regulations, as well as internal HR policies.
- Oversee the development and administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment with company goals.
- Handle grievance redressal processes and implement disciplinary actions when required.
- Ensure adherence to organizational HR processes, systems, and standards.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and manage the HR team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Provide thought leadership to the senior management team on key HR-related matters.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the HR department.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR strategy, employee relations, and organizational development.
Strategic Workforce Planning & HR Analytics:
- Work closely with leadership to understand future workforce needs and plan for strategic hiring and development.
- Use HR metrics and analytics to drive informed decision-making and evaluate the effectiveness of HR strategies and initiatives.
- Lead change management initiatives, ensuring the organization is agile and adaptable to evolving market needs.
- Create and report on HR dashboards to measure the impact of HR strategies on organizational performance.
External Relations & Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with external service providers (housing, transport, insurance, etc) as needed.
- Represent the company in discussions with external stakeholders, such as recruitment agencies, legal advisors, and other partners.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, with a preference for an MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources, including at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience in managing HR functions in the EdTech or technology sector.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and organizational development.
- Expertise in HRMS, ATS systems; experience with Keka preferred.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple HR initiatives while working under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership teams and drive organizational change.
