- An ITI Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment
- They work with various types of electrical wiring, devices, and components to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems
- ITI Electricians are skilled technicians who follow electrical codes and safety regulations while performing their duties
- Key Responsibilities:Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Install and connect wiring, conduits, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify faults or malfunctions in electrical systems
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as wiring, motors, switches, and control panels
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance
- Adhere to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in all work performed
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to coordinate electrical installations and repairs
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and parts inventory
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and safety protocols related to electrical systems and equipment
