Head Finance
Location: Ahmedabad
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies to support the company's growth objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure optimal resource allocation and financial performance.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and taxation laws.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to audit requirements.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational requirements and investment activities.
- Monitor banking relationships and optimize banking services to minimize costs and maximize returns.
- Implement effective cash management policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks related to market volatility, credit, liquidity, and operational issues.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to address identified risks.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial plans and investment strategies.
- Evaluate potential business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships from a financial perspective.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making on strategic initiatives and business expansion.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in finance and accounting roles, with progressive experience in leadership positions.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on team building, talent development, and performance management.
- Experience in the textile industry preferred
