Civil Site Engineer

Role & responsibilities Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join our construction team for a residential building project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Management: Supervise and coordinate site activities, including excavation, foundation, structural, and finishing works.

2. Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

3. Construction Planning: Develop and implement construction plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.

4. Design Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.

5. Site Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct safety audits, and implement corrective actions.

6. Material Management: Oversee material procurement, storage, and usage, ensuring minimal waste and optimal utilization.

7. Labor Management: Supervise and manage labor forces, including subcontractors, to ensure efficient and productive work.

8. Progress Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager and stakeholders.

9. Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor and control construction costs, ensuring adherence to budget allocations.

10. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and permits.

Preferred candidate profile 1. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 4-8 years of experience in residential building construction, preferably in a site engineering role.

3. Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent.

4. Skills:

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

- Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
