The Project Coordinator (PC) will be a core member of Aastrika Foundation and will work closely with the Senior Lead, Midwifery Initiatives.
The PC is responsible for coordinating and liaisoning between the various stakeholders (the govt. district authorities, such as district health officers, medical college directors, medical superintendents of hospitals, the Govt. Nursing College principal, the Karnataka State Nursing Council, midwifery trainees and educators, clinical training sites, and other district authorities), who will play a part in the smooth functioning of the SMTI.
Key Responsibilities:
The PC is in charge of implementing the SMTI at the BIMS in Belagavi. The key jobs are detailed below:
Work closely with Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences wings such as District Hospital, Nursing College, ANM training centre (TC) to coordinate smooth running and implementation of the SMTI.
Provide technical and logistic support to field activities such as identifying the groups/teams for advocacy and sensitisation programmes.
Conduct periodic meetings with relevant stakeholders to provide support, identify and rectify roadblocks, provide feedback to the field team and communicate issues to the AUHS team.
Work with the International Midwife Educators (IMEs) and National Midwife Educators (NME) and students to help organise the training for each week into a specific format, so these lessons can be easily replicated in the future at all SMTIs.
Ensure that all the infrastructure and teaching/training aids are in place prior to the training sessions and assist as needed.
Liaise with the internal team as needed and ensure colleagues and supervisors are apprised of all aspects of the deliverables.
Work with all the donor partners and other stakeholders, including the state and district government health teams to coordinate the implementation of state midwifery training institute at Mysuru
Plan and coordinate with the AF team as needed to facilitate effective partnerships for all our initiatives.
Support the district in preparing the Programme Implementation Plan (PIP) for the Midwifery Initiative.
Gather and arrange all relevant information regarding SMTI's daily activities, document it, and work on the documentation in the assigned reporting format (Monitor and Evaluation)
Identify challenges or roadblocks, and look at finding innovative solutions to ensure the smooth implementation of the programme.
Contribute to other activities and take up roles/tasks as needed.
