Overview Of Role

66degrees is seeking a senior contractor to engage on a 4+ month remote assignment with potential to extend

Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Requirements

8+ years of experience designing, architecting, and implementing microservices architecture

5+ years of experience in designing architecture

Proficiency in Java is required

As well in one of the following: JavaScript, Python, or Typescript

Accountable for App dependencies (e g

3rd party restful calls, Kafka, Database, and Ping) is desired however not required

Experience developing applications on the Google Cloud Platform suite of products and services is desirable

Deep knowledge of software architecture in distributed systems

Able to conduct code reviews and mentor software engineers

5+ years of experience in developing cloud-native applications

Experience in both front-end and back-end development (must have deeper experience in backend development, but familiarity and exposure with full-stack development required)

Familiar with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)

Familiar with the scrum process and Git

Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery

Background in professional services/consulting

Strong communication skills

Eager to work in a teamwork/collaborative environment
