Android App Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Android App Developer to design, develop, and maintain innovative and high-quality Android applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Android ecosystem, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate user needs into functional mobile applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Integrate third-party APIs and web services into mobile applications.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs, such as RESTful services and JSON.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Fix bugs, improve application performance, and enhance user experience.
• Test and debug applications to ensure optimal performance on various devices and screen sizes.
• Contribute to project planning, including requirement analysis and estimations.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Deep understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Familiarity with Material Design principles and Android UI/UX guidelines.
• Knowledge of design patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or MVC.
• Experience with databases like SQLite, Room, or Realm.
• Proficiency in using RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and JSON for backend integration.
• Familiarity with tools like Git, JIRA, and version control systems.
• Experience with Android Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, etc.).
• Understanding of testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, or Mockito.
• Familiarity with Firebase services (e.g., Authentication, Firestore, Push Notifications).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitrise).
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.g., Retrofit, OkHttp, Glide, etc.).
• Familiarity with performance tuning tools like Android Profiler.
• Experience in publishing apps on the Google Play Store and app lifecycle management.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
