Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyses existing Oracle views, procedures, and functions and rewrite them to work seamlessly in PostgreSQL

2. Optimize query performance in the PostgreSQL database to ensure optimal efficiency

3. Collaborate with the development team, implement migration strategies and best practices

4. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the migration process

5. Document the migration process, including any challenges faced and solutions implemented

Required Skills:

1. Strong development expertise in both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, with the understanding of architecture and features

2. Proven experience in rewriting Oracle views, procedures, and functions to work in PostgreSQL

3. Proficiency in SQL and experience in query optimization

4. Familiarity with PostgreSQL features

5. Knowledge of data migration best practices and tools like ora2pg, oracle Goldengate (preferred).

6. Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
