JOB PROFILE:
Position: Head - Business Development.
Department: Solutions Engineering.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the business development activities for the Asia-Pacific region, with potential expansion to additional regions.
- Collaboratively develop and implement a comprehensive Business Development (BD) strategy aligned with annual sales targets.
- Create and execute detailed Sales and Marketing Plans, including strategies for digital. marketing.
- Identify target companies and markets by researching the country and industry landscape.
- Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering, and exploring opportunities.
- Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials; evaluate options and resolve internal priorities.
- Develop techno-commercial proposals, roadmaps, approach papers, and other business development pitch documents based on inputs from subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Organize and manage events, webinars, and conferences to promote the organization's services.
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of leads and prospects.
- Formulate negotiating strategies to secure favourable deals and partnerships.
- Gather and understand client requirements, both explicit (stated) and implicit (learned through rapport building).
- Close deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Protect the organization's value by always maintaining confidentiality of information.
PROFILE/PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
- Proven +10 years of experience in Business Development Sales, preferably in the consulting or Pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle, market research, and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a target-oriented environment.
- Proven leadership skills to inspire and manage teams effectively.
- Understanding and leveraging marketing and digital strategies will be highly valued.
- Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions that align with organizational goals.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly establish and nurture strong relationships with clients.
- Comfortable working in an environment that emphasizes meeting and exceeding performance goals.
