what is current value in market for Kubernetes skillset?

There is no growth as such, only you can grow in terms of designation and not salary. Be aware you can be fired anytime without prior notice so work security is nill. Only if you are close to the management then your job is safe. 
Plus, there is no other benefits that the company provides.

The company is into the retail sector and overall an ok place to work. If you have expectation from the place, by seeing their stores, then don't expect the head office to be the same, it is not.
