Confused in career
Role 1 Company 1:
I started out my career as a data integration engineer primarily working on a tool called Microsoft Biztalk Server for loading EDI files. Worked for 4 years with additional roles like writing scripts to correct the EDI's.
Role 2 .. Company 2:
I took the Sr Data Analyst position my role was to create data models using SQL and to help analysts create power bi dashboards. I originally didn't sign up for this so my interest remained with pure coding/ scripting works.
Role 3 Company 2
After 2.5 years I did an internal team change in the same company to handle the ETL side of things and work on applications but the problem is I have to learn Java Spring boot for this. All my previous experiences were mostly in Python.
Should I give time to the Java Spring boot framework or should I look for Data Engineering roles where my tech stacks are more aligned? What would you suggest?
