You get out what you put in. I focused on skills development early in my career, and because of that, I had the opportunity to be involved in multiple areas of the business - started as a DBA, then Developer, then architecture, enterprise architecture, service delivery, account management, and now, at an executive level. The exposure helped me grow, and I was promoted multiple times. I've been with the company for nearly 18 years now. This is the IT industry - it's demanding, and at times, extra effort is required to push projects over the line. But the difference at Falcorp is having a team that supports you and leadership that genuinely cares. That support goes all the way up to the MD, not just direct management. I've personally had the MD join our teams when he hears some of us have to push on a project, buying pizzas for the team and even rolling up his sleeves to help if needed. Tokens of appreciation for our work is sent afterwards, that level of leadership and commitment is RARE. So again, you get what you put in.

Dislikes

My peers not having the maturity to develop themselves, thus impacting the whole team's ability to deliver. When a company gives you paid days off to go study and improve yourself - DO IT. Your team will respect and love you.
