I came here to share an incident of mental harassment that happened to me involving Simran Surethia. I joined Aldebaran Media on February 25, 2023, at the age of 22 because my mother's health was critical and I needed to support my family. From the very first month, I noticed that a colleague, Mrs. Simran Surethia—known as the BD and CS of the company—was mentally harassing me with her absurd actions. In my first month, Simran demanded that I greet her with a "Good morning" because she was my senior. She forced me to obey all her commands, threatened to slap me in front of everyone, and repeatedly called me after work hours to belittle me. At that time, I was deeply concerned about my mother's health, so I didn’t tell anyone. One day, Simran came to my desk and loudly shouted at me, accusing me of not doing my work without any reason, and she did this in front of everyone. Meanwhile, as my mother's condition worsened, I felt isolated, not knowing whom to turn to for help. It was a panic-inducing situation, and I was forced to choose between focusing on my mother's health and taking action against Simran. Simran continued her harassment, making comments like, "You can't do this job." On one occasion, she even told me to put a chair on her foot. After enduring these ridiculous actions for too long, I finally reported the situation to my manager. Although he acknowledged that Simran's behavior was inappropriate, he still praised her straightforwardness, and no action was taken. A colleague advised me not to mess with Simran because she was the head of the company and the first employee—implying that everyone would side with her instead of me. Every day, Simran made negative remarks about me, questioning why I wore the same clothes every day or why I was eating a particular lunch, and she even resorted to verbal abuse at times. Eventually, I realized my colleague’s advice was true; Simran was favored by everyone, and no one dared to speak out against her. I was shocked that my colleagues, who witnessed her actions, did nothing, even after I reported everything to higher authorities. It became clear that I was being mentally harassed. I never did anything wrong to anyone in the company, yet I was exploited and mistreated for no reason. Ultimately, on October 9, I resigned. I firmly believe that while she has wronged me, I have wronged no one. I leave everything to God, believing that His justice comes silently yet powerfully. On the day I left, I was teased in front of my parents, and I kept questioning what I had done to deserve this. I think Simran found peace when I left the job. Despite repeatedly informing her and others about my mother's health, no one showed any mercy.
