NABARD is an organisation committed for rural prosperity and I being in NABARD, was focused for the development of rural poor and farmers through a gamut of schemes . MybSalary package at the time of retirement was around 25 lakh per annum with other excellent perquisites . Career growth is slow.I traveled in the state of my job location intermittently. Very encouraging working environment, one gets exposure to almost all the spheres of developmental initiatives / Schemes/ Programnes, in the country. NABARD being the Apex Development Banking Institution of the country takes care not only of Farm sector but also Non Farm Sector for bringing about integrated rural development on sustainable basis. In addition plays supervisory on behalf of RBI and plays a pivotal role in building and strengthening the primary lending institutions (Banks). Regularly innovating through applied experiments, like SHGs, Farmers Clubs in the field of social engineering, KCCs, SCCs, Livelihoods concepts. Planning and Ensuring flow of ground level credit as per the national goals and priorities. Planning and funding for development of infrastructure in the rural with focus on driving the rural economy. While working with NABARD, one gets lot of opportunity to work with international organisation with in the country and abroad as well. A person who has worked in NABARD gets number of opportunities to work even after retirement, like faculty in banking training institutions , planning departments of state / central govts, Skill Development Missions, NRLM, SRLM, NULMS. I am failing to find any thing of that sort, which I feel I should hate in NABARD. But one thing is there which sometimes pinches me. We at NABARD are slightly shy to publicity. For example SHGs and KCCs which are products experimented, grounded in the country by NABARD, but in forefront are the Primary Lending institutions or Govt Drpartments. For stabilising these two concepts NABARD staff had really put in lot of efforts. But we did not publicise much about our efforts.The Regional Rural Banks were revitalised by NABARD but we never publicise or tried to have credit for that. We in NABARD experiment, pilot , stabilise and give the products to the country for further good of the Nation....Read More

I remained assocated with livelihood projects Farm and Non Farm Sector both technical and financial appraisal, IRDP, Credit planning, SHGs and Microcredit, Farmers Clubs, District Rural Industries Project, Environment , Skill Development, Faculty etc.
