Good work life balance. Decent office

It is a sinking ship. No confidence in the management. Smart people realised this before hand and started leaving. It is now time for the management to control the damage and atleast recognize the existing employees. If you don't, there is always a competitor who would.

Managers who are fair and encouraging without indulging in the regular corporate politics. Cooperative and encouraging team. Better work life balance when compared to other companies. Great perks and festive gifts provided to employees. Wellness and extended holidays give some fresh air to the employees and creates employee friendly atmosphere. Good food and snacks offered by the company.

Dislikes

Products are comparatively old and the transition to new stack is slowly progressing. Takes some good time to learn the product as we have some good amount of documentation to be brainstormed.

I have been with Model N for over 11 years. In these 11 plus years, the one thing that I have observed and felt is that even though Model N has grown as a company, it has retained its small product company culture. We have an open door policy where anybody can walk into a senior executive's office and discuss what she or he wishes to discuss. Disagreements are not discouraged and in fact they are celebrated in the sense good debates make for good teams and vice-versa. One best aspect of working in Model N is the generous leave policy. The period of pandemic, employees were encouraged to take time off and this policy has been retained since then. A wellness program was put in place where employees get extended weekends off every few weeks to months. And the best is the July 4'th week, that entire week off which we get irrespective of which geography we are located in. Compared to other services companies, the pay structure is better in Model N. Also, since its a listed company, employees get equity in the form of ESPP and restricted shares which is additional bonus on top of the salary and bonus component....Read More

Dislikes

I think, this would be a more common complain/challenge that any employed IT professional will have. Getting chance to update themselves with the latest in the industry is something we all struggle with and Model N is no different in that sense. We do have training platforms training people in industry basics but the wider technical/professional training is something I wish we could incorporate.

ModelN is a very employee-oriented company that keeps making policy changes to achieve a better and happier workforce. One thing that is very different from other big companies is that the leadership team is very approachable and amiable. They also allocate shares which is an additional benefit based on your performance. Overall its a very good company to work with.

Dislikes

I think they do not have a very progressive thought when it comes to appreciation, people's efforts are not appreciated and somewhere I feel politics does come into the picture.

Working at ModelN has been great. I have been here for over 2 years. The work satisfaction in tackling customer requirements/customizations to the existing applications has been wonderful. Periodic performance appraisal cycles have been great for tracking individual progress. Team dynamics and encouragement to think outside the boxis good. Initial days at ModelN will be a roller coaster but once application knowledge is attained, it is a breeze to deliver work....Read More

No internal politics and favoritism. Nurture talent. Provides good platform for developers/BAs/technocrats to grow in the initial stage of their careers. Very open culture no hush-hush activities

Dislikes

There is not much opportunity for growth after 7-8 years of experience specifically for technical professionals. There are few senior members in the leadership team who are not adding values to the team/org but still there with the company. Model N should take a stand and release them
