As any company, if you get a good manager you will more or less enjoy working here. But then again, getting a good manager is rare here and most of them don't have a life outside work and they expect the same from you, especially these bangalore senior managers.

Dislikes

Few perks and limited appreciation. Even if you receive compliments from clients, the most recognition you’ll get from KPMG is a thank-you email and a small voucher as a reward. Senior leadership has remained in the company for years, which has led to a rigid and hierarchical work culture. Many leaders seem more focused on appearances and office presence rather than fostering talent and innovation. Promotions often seem based on tenure rather than actual skill, and as a result, many in leadership roles struggle with independent problem-solving. Everything, They were very abusive. There offer no support to grow/work. They make you work for more than 16 hours a day but still expect us to put in even more efforts on the job. They make you work no matter if you are travelling in train, bus, and air travel. Downright hell hole of place to work anywhere in India for KPMG. It's off on weekends only for namesake, they make you work everyday and expect you to be available 24x7 and wants you to travel and work from any place they would want you to without a care for your family. Job Security. Generally, they don't fire people unless they have done something illegal/against company policy. But it kind of encourages laggards. Training and skill development opportunities are plentiful, in fact many of them are mandatory. This is a great place for people with less than 10 yrs of experience.

Dislikes

Crazy bureaucracy. There are regulatory requirements due to it being an audit firm which occupies 50-60% of a manager's time to manage which takes out energy to deliver a project. Second problem is that same person is supposed to 1. Do Sales and win a project 2. Deliver it 3. Manage all risks This is highly inefficient Salary levels are also at least 20% below market

Dislikes

The workload is heavy, the hours are long and the salary is low. They do not care about employees, only about their work and targets. They even ask employees to postpone and reduce their lunch breaks.

They have set good values and principles

The values and policies which was fixed by firm were not followed only showing and promoting it for showcase. Management is worst due to more toxic environment. Job security is not their when seniors and managers manipulate if anyone raised this concerns with HR. HR will also support to seniors and they tell sorry we can't help eventhough you have all the evidence to prove the case and even though you were high performance. There is no work life balance. If an employee works overtime there is no OT pay. Employee has been to stretch for 13-14 hours minimum on daily basis.

I am talking about Digital Solutions Next team - There is no clear communication from the management or leadership on what our projects pipeline looks like, nor a clear assignment of resources to the project etc. Today you will be in one project, after 2 weeks in some other. The sad part is the firm takes every random project that comes their way.

This is coming from my experience in a particular team. Someone else might have a better experience definitely. My team was horrible, biased, illogical and non-appreciative. People were looking to satisfy their own agenda.
