My experience at Jaro Education was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a professional or supportive work environment. One of the most concerning incidents occurred when a team leader, Alim, made an inappropriate comment about a female colleague, remarking that she had "smokey eyes."This issue was not mine personally but was something I witnessed as it involved a friend of mine. When this issue was escalated to HR, rather than addressing the comment or holding Alim accountable, he arrogantly called my friend and said, “no one can do anything to me, I’m the top performer here.” This response from Alim not only highlighted the lack of professionalism within the company but also demonstrated how little management cares about addressing inappropriate behavior or supporting their employees. The management, in general, was unresponsive and unhelpful. My team leader, would rarely respond to emails or provide the support needed to perform well in the job. Whenever I reached out for guidance or clarity, I was either ignored or placed on a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) instead of receiving constructive feedback or help. What’s worse, there was a clear culture of favoritism within the company. Some employees were given fresh leads and better resources, while newcomers like myself were left with outdated and irrelevant data, making it nearly impossible to succeed. The leads provided were sourced from platforms like Naukri.com and job-seeking sites, which meant I was constantly cold calling people who had no interest in the services we were offering. Despite this, there was immense pressure to hit unrealistic sales targets with no real strategy or support in place. There is also a lack of product knowledge and training. The company expects you to sell expensive courses without providing adequate information on the products you’re selling. Training sessions are minimal, and the focus is always on achieving numbers, rather than equipping employees with the tools they need to succeed. There is no help in closing sales, and the management simply expects you to dial hundreds of numbers a day, without any real guidance or support on how to convert those calls into successful enrollments. The work culture is toxic and extremely stressful. There is constant pressure to work overtime, including on weekends, without any form of acknowledgment or compensation for the extra hours put in. If you fall behind or fail to meet your targets, the company has no problem dismissing you without following the usual notice period procedures. I experienced this firsthand when I was placed on a PIP and ultimately let go without being allowed to serve my notice period. They also violated the terms of my contract by only paying me for 4 days of work, instead of the full amount as per the agreement. Lastly, the company places more value on sales numbers than on the well-being or development of its employees. There’s no clear path for growth, and employees are treated as disposable assets to meet the company’s targets. The atmosphere is one of high pressure, favoritism, and a lack of respect, where only the “top performers” are given the time of day, and everyone else is left to fend for themselves. In conclusion, Jaro Education is a company that prioritizes sales over employee well-being and professional integrity. The management is dismissive and unresponsive, and the work environment is toxic and unwelcoming. If you're looking for a company that values its employees and provides meaningful support for success, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. The problem I faced: -> The work environment is casual and unprofessional. It is like a bunch of high school kids working together. POSH is a total joke. Everyone flirts with everyone. The Manager, the team leaders, and the executives. A lot of them dated each other and f***** around as well. It is more of a dating platform than a sales platform. -> The reward for your hard work is anything but fair over here. They only care about people if they give them results (beg, borrow, or steal). If that is not the case get ready to get manipulated and bullied by your team leader and manager. They don't care how sincere and hardworking you are you will be targeted at every turn if you are not helping with the team target or branch target. EXAMPLE: The Key Responsibility Area(KRA) mentioned in your Job profile would be : 80 connected calls per day, 2 hours of talk time per day, and 8 prospects generated per day. There are around 45-50 people in each branch out of which there would be 5-8 people completing all the three or just two KRAs( because completing the third KRA is impossible without lead support) but still, People aren't respected or valued and are scolded for not doing the third KRA even though they know it requires very good lead flow which they do not provide. -> The Management is moody and partial. There is no consistency in the implementation and execution of rules, regulations, strategies, and plans. It is really confusing to work over here because, for instance, the men( not applicable to all men...iykwim) are expected to be completely formal with tucked-in shirts, belts, and formal shoes. Women can wear anything starting from tank tops, crop tops, tight jeans, and chappals, and look homeless and come to the office. -> In my 6-month tenure I received my full salary only in the first month and in the rest of the five months. There was a minimum deduction of 8k every month because of Late arrivals, absences, or LOPs. The management is shameless, they just need a small reason to deduct your hard-earned salary. They don't think about how it's going to affect you that too in an expensive city like Mumbai. Even in this area, they are very partial . Everyone is not harassed in this way for a lot of the people, the late arrivals and leaves are pardoned. ( few of them even go to the manager's PC and do it for themself, it depends on how good a relationship you have with the manager.) -> If you are a wannabe or want to work with a group of wannabes, and are okay with being a brainless puppet to your team lead and the management then this is the right company for you. If you want your identity to just be a salesperson at Jaro and nothing else then it is the perfect match. If you don't mind working 2-3 hours overtime, daily and sometimes on national holidays or Sundays. If you want a sad and frustrating job then nothing is better. Unfortunately, this was my first job.
