One of the corrupt organisation in history of india. It looted common people and salary gives to the officers only who are posted junior there benefits go on vein.

There is many dislikes that one to say about here is staff working as bonded labours. No holiday no rest you have work in shift wise, officers have rest holiday they have all right to take leave and roaming one country to another country . hierarchical in commercial department makes its a corrupt department on Indian railways. Every step you find a seniors who are not listening it's employees welfare seniors know how to snub these employees. Here compassionate ground recruitment is more prevalent than meritocracy recruitment. Everyway it's snubs meritorious staff and made him dependent on railways job he have no way to leave it. Juniors are getting very low as officers got 5 to 20 fold salary of juniors but there work is very poor even cbs, CMI/CCI even write a letter to officers just copy it forward it the officers. Seniors only know how to exploit this junior employee by not giving proper rest leave holiday leave etc...Read More

Only good thing is that it's a government job. That's it. Rest is worst. Don't come do a private job. After NPS it doesn't even have free pension.

No personal time. Leave don't get approved. Posting is so remote that you won't a soul to talk to. Just avoid it. It's pathetic job with zero future. This job experience won't get you anywhere.

Railway never compromise with the safety of passengers. Never compromise with SOP ,quality of materials & maintenance of equipment. Jobs security is good.

Dislikes

No promotion, once one joined Sr. Sec. Engineer through out whole service remains as Sr.Sec.Engineer. Salary structure is bad.

The behaviour of Punjab ticket collector is very rude, they physically abused to the passenger and had no petition on the person if someone has their tickets but by mistake he is in wrong cabin, so no guidance and put the huge charges on the passenger, once a time infront of my eyes one punjabi ticket collector slapped the passenger this is so rude behaviour i have ever seen.
