Dislikes

The only problem one may have is frequent transfers ( once in 2-3 years as officer and once in 4-5 years in non-officer cadre) which , to some extent affects the education of your children especially when they are in higher classes.

One has to work within the boundaries of laid down rules, regulations, service norms and customs. It sometimes limits creativity. Limited promotional avenues due to steep pyramid structure leads to lot of stagnation.

very challenging as i am into training for the past 15 years. The IAF revisits its training philosophy frequently to match up with new technology & new acquisitions to be better prepared to defend the country & provide assistance during peacetime.
