It gives us an idea about the pinnacle of our education system. It will train you professionally for the world. You will stay away from basics but will become very strong in application part of science. Basically its market oriented education institute and you will be able to earn good if that is what you want.

Dislikes

Overall placement coordination for Ph.D students is worst. No core companies are invited for placement. If you want to do jobs in banking and IT sector then why are these Btech and Mtech students wasting the precious seats of IIT where someone else deserves it.

I got an offer from both the companies, manager role. Flipkart’s offer: fixed (x) + variable pay + stock Deloitte’s offer: fixed (x+1) + variable + 1.5L joining bonus Variable pay % is the same. Flipkart is offering a sizeable huge chunk in stock. What should I consider apart from compensation? Annual hikes, WLB, work culture, etc? (Note that It’s a non IT role)
