If you are on bench more than 2 months HR call you to put resignation forcefully. You are not able to get appraisal as per your expectations.

Nothing as such, no projects in the name of supercharging in progress only managers will get promotion, other designation need to do exact job. That too client with no cab facility 😱

Everything is dislike location,client location. No one bothers about you and your skills, health, families etc better not to go. Don't join engineers, it's already outdated with very old people who doesn't encourage and make you feel you are employee. Don't take wrong decision in this AI era find best work place and work not company.

Everything else is a dislike. There is no skill development, managers behave like 'sarkari babus'. Higher management is unreachable...too many restrictions...you can't even open YouTube (imagine!) Many more dislikes but I don't really want to waste my time n energy listing them down here

Work life balance is not good. Lot of internal politics. Worst seniors at management level. They are old fashioned and not fit to the company. Simply wasting their career and spoiling others as well .

Recruiter promised that I will be receiving the entire variable pay for the first year but I received only for a month and from second month I have not even received 50 percent. No hike/night shift allowance for E3 and above bands . Every project have 3 managers (reporting manager, service managers, who will be part of HCL for 10 or 15 years ) , and who used to micromanage to an extreme, they will ask you to work on company holiday and they won’t approve your comp off or Pay for the holiday. Actually it's a nice company but after the separation and pre separation the situation arise it's not upto the mark.. Acquisition is happen but it's not smooth as compared to others...I would like to join again if they have clarity in the salary structure and position

We have plenty of sources for skill development with no extra cost.

Dislikes

Management is pathetic and they all are biased based on the region. If you are from Northern states of India you will be treated well and get promotions. If you are from south then you will be on target for the managers and don't expect any hikes or promotions from them. Skills and sensiority doesn't matter at all in HCL. only favourtism matters here.

Pay scale is very poor which is acceptable from a Indian IT company. If you are planning to join here i would suggest you to have atleast 4-5 years experience as you will get all the facilities such as Can etc.

There is nothing to say about liking the things about HCL. In Ambitionbox, if I had the opportunity to reduce from 1 star to 0.5 star I would prefer to do that.

There are so many things thing to dislike HCL. 1) Do not go with the Brand name. You might feel that choose a brand rather than any other small companies just go to that small company rather than choosing it. 2) Forget about the hikes. Atleast you have to stay for 2 years then you can think about it(Note: Depends on the CTC. If it crossing more than 7lpa then you will not get any hikes upto 3 years.) 3) Technology is outdated. Suppose If you want to go out from HCL after working 2-3 years then you have to work really hard to coup with the trending technologies because while you are searching jobs in the market then you can realise that most of the tools are outdated. 4) If you think your life is secured after getting a job in HCL then you are wrong because HCL is silently reducing there bench strenth. Max to max 2-3 months. 5) Throughout my tenure in HCL I understood one thing if you are fresher & cannot get a job but hcl is knocking your door then grab it atleast you can get the basic pavement or if you have more than 12 years of work ex then it is good for the retirement company but 1-12 yrs of work ex do not even think about it....Read More

Great opportunity to work in HCL. Hcl techies help us alot and all employees are just like a family. There is no partiality. Helping and supporting is good

Some peoples are showing attitude and partiality. Everyone need leadership quality, but I observed there is lack of leadership quality.

It totally depends on the project where i got a very understanding team where work used to be like a child's play rather than a daily labour. Special thanks for my managers who made me work with integrity.

Event hough we go up the ladder in the sense of job titles the salary range increases like a garden slug walking over a wall.
