earlier when I joined 5 years back, the work life balance was great. The company was mostly looking after employee satisfaction. However, with recent changes in the entire management team, and replacing all the tenured management persons, the company is not a great place to work

Work gets monotonous. Their appraisal policies keep changing every year according to their convenience. Appraisals and rewards get decided on basis of recorded training activities and not your hard work throughout the year. Participation in activities decide your compensation and not your work.

Simple pathetic. I worked there for 2years with my full potential and adhering to all the policies. I left it due to pandemic but when it started hiring again, I applied asap but they denied to rehire. While Airbnb promote the value of "BEING A HOST", but here how they treated a loyal employee who wanted to work for them again and in such a time when a person need help more than ever.

Dislikes

Simply pathetic. I worked here for two years with all my potential and adhering to all the policies. It was also treating well until this pandemic. I left the company due to this covid-19 and I was eagerly waiting to apply for it again. As soon as it started hiring again, I applied for it but they simply denied to rehire without even allowing me to appear for interview when my rehire status was green. Airseva(Airbnb) promotes the value of "BEING A HOST" I really liked the thought and worked in this company with the same motto. However, it turned out to be something else when I reapplied for a position in which I was working earlier. When I can't host a person in it's community who has contributed to it in the past, everyone can understand how it can host a person who is new to it's community. I'm really dissapointed with such behavior of Airbnb and non-cooperation to a loyal employee who needs to work again for it and could've worked in a better way if it could've provided the opportunity to me and in such a time when a person need job more than ever...Read More

The india staff is paid almost half the allowance benefits that the rest of the global workforce gets including employee credits and education allowances, the cfo who is also the head of employee experience snubbed all the indians in a recent town hall when they asked why they are not at par with the rest of their colleagues as the work they do is the same. cfo basically said you are already paid more than market value and will not get paid more. Disrespectful and rude. Also the teams are "global" but you'll never see an american being flexible with their working hours while my team in India is expected to be online till 1AM. we pushed it back to 10PM but it's ridiculous. I worked for Airbnb for over 4 Years and overall, it was a good experience.. The company culture is good. The Team spirit and bonding among colleagues made it easy place to work.
