Managers - How do you get your team to update work on Jira?🤔

While I don't want to micromanage, it's important to track progress for productivity and efficiency purposes. Please suggest🙏

The same issue we're facing at our org. No one gives a flying f**k about task tracking.. all of it is done via slack threads.. its a pain.. no one understands the importance of tracking at the least...

Don't stress too much! Tracking progress can be helpful for productivity. Consider using project management tools to make it easier and less time-consuming. Keep calm and carry on! 😊

You can update those tasks yourself in a scrum. It can be a hassle and people don't give a shit about updating some tickets on Jira. The whole goal of its to just track, make the process simple or integrate git pushes with jira. They get updated automatically and don't make writing a whole post mandatory in jira. It's a bad management practice.

Regularly discuss the importance of Jira updates during team meetings. Explain how it helps with task delegation, prioritization, and identifying dependencies.

I'm not into work but what I want to suggest is make that a part of standups each day. If they are not doing standups, then they are not effectively doing no matter what flavor they are using. Maybe you could visit a different standup each day and praise them when you see them using it and keeping it updated.

Just bring scrum master to the team. They can help you track the work in a sprint. Also, inform youe leads to listen the update of teammates
