Network Operations Center Engineer (3-6 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

1. Network Implementation and Maintenance :

- Configure, install, and maintain network hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.

- Implement and manage LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN technologies to support business operations.

2. Network Protocol Management :

- Expertise in managing and configuring networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.

- Ensure proper routing, switching, and traffic optimization to improve network performance and reliability.

3. Network Security :

- Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and encryption protocols to safeguard the network from external threats.

- Monitor and ensure compliance with security policies and perform routine audits.

4. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

- Diagnose and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to services.

- Work closely with clients and their network teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related problems.

- Document issues, solutions, and changes to network configurations.

5. Performance Tuning and Optimization :

- Optimize network performance by analysing traffic patterns, bottlenecks, and potential areas for improvement.

- Implement QoS and other performance enhancement techniques to ensure network efficiency.

6. Client Interaction and Support :

- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their network requirements and provide solutions.

- Maintain effective communication with clients regarding network performance, incidents, and upgrades.

7. Documentation and Reporting :

- Maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.

- Provide regular reports on network health, incidents, and capacity planning.

Required Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Experience : 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.

- Certifications : CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications are a plus.

Key Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with network implementations (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, etc.).

- Strong understanding of firewall configurations, network security, VPNs, and encryption.

- Proficiency in network performance tuning and optimization techniques.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
